This week we all woke to very heavy rain and we wondered if we would be able to visit our allotment. We decided to go and we are so pleased we did! We found lots of signs of Autumn and we enjoyed observing what the damp weather brings with it. We began our day by finally finishing our shed so it is now ready for Spring and any wet weather we may have. The children were so proud of themselves! The other children helped Lisa and Jen tackle the overgrown flower beds. At 11 o’clock, the children were all feeling tired so we sat in the shed and listened to a wonderful story.
Our story was all about slugs and the children thought it was hilarious. This then led to us onto a slug hunt. We looked closely and we found snails, slugs and woodlice. Then Lisa spotted something moving. It was a baby frog!
All of a sudden the rain came down so we quickly hid in the shed. Luckily it was lunch time so everyone sat happily eating a lovely warm meal.
