This week was a very special week for the children and residents. One of our friends celebrated her 90th birthday. We wanted the day to be very special so we planned the most amazing party day. The children made a beautiful birthday cake and we added number 90 candles. As our friend is a huge Newcastle United supporter, we decided to host a black and white, football themed party. The children and staff all dressed in their black and white/ football outfits and we dressed the room with black and white decorations. Even the birthday cake was black and white!
In the morning, we had the lovely Julie who sang for us. Everyone enjoyed singing and dancing and we observed some very groovy moves. After lunch we had party games, birthday cake, a special toast, ice lollies and we all sang happy birthday. We had such an amazing day. All the residents, children, nursery grown ups and staff came together to make our friends birthday really special.
