The traffic disruption has caused much delay for most. Please be reassured we are in close contact with the Newcastle City Council and Northumbrian Water, we have spoken with them and have expressed our concerns and have given parent feedback.

The pedestrian crossing on Queen Victoria Road (at the end of Lover’s Lane) has been blocked and is not in use.

As this is the early days of the roadworks, teething problems are expected. Northumbrian Water is currently re-evaluating their plans. We will let you know if we learn of any further delays or alternative routes.
