This week the children were very excited to visit our shed and check on Rainbow (our newly named bird who is nesting in our shed). We were still unsure as to what type of bird we had living in our shed but we were extremely excited to find out. We crept into the shed to see if we could spot her but she wasn’t in her nest. We were a little worried she may have left but we decided to open both shed doors to allow her easy access throughout the day. A little later, we were amazed to see something fly out of the shed and luckily one of the children knew exactly what kind of bird we have – she is a Robin! We are thrilled and hope to spot some baby robins very soon.
We needed to get some work done on the allotment and so started to weed our beds in preparation for more planting. We then began the rather big task of repotting our tomato plants but we still have quite a few to go. We spotted lots of yummy raspberries and strawberries ready for eating so we started to collect them. After lunch it was time to share them and wow were they delicious!
We planted out more pumpkins and gave everything a really good water. A great job done!
